After WIN 10 1709 Upgrade, Desktop Freezes Randomly 4/11/18 I have been experiencing this same issue for several months now. I upgraded from Windows 10 1507, to 1709. I will openly admit, I did not pay attention to service patch and updates until the 1709 upgrade came in.

XP Pro won't boot after hibernate? I manually put my XP Pro (SP3) notebook system go into hibernate (something I have done many times) to bring it downstairs, and when I powered it back on, it went through POST, blinked the disk light and does nothing further - I have a black screen and a blinking cursor in the corner.
