Browse Chrome as a guest When you use a public computer or share a computer with others, websites that you visit in Guest mode won’t appear in the browser history. Browse in Incognito mode You can browse the web more privately in Incognito mode. Incognito limits what’s saved to your device When you’re browsing in Incognito, Chrome limits the information that’s saved to your device. This can be useful, for example, when you're using a shared computer or shopping for a gift.
Important: You can't add extensions when you browse in Incognito mode or as a guest. Open the Chrome Web Store. Find and select the extension you want. Select Add to Chrome. Some extensions will let you know if they need certain permissions or data. To approve, select Add extension. Important: Make sure you only approve extensions that you trust.
