But basically RIT and Clarkson would both be far away. WPI and RPI a bit closer. So I would not let distance decide things. There are likely plenty of other kids from CT. He just has to visit and get an idea if this is a school for him, since they apparently provided a great Merit scholarship 2 Likes AHFD23x2 , 10:50pm 5
It is times like this when Urban acts like he has just seen the bus go over the side of the cliff with all his players in it. Except he calls it “a train wreck.”
Current students share their Co-op experiences at RIT, including the types of companies they worked for, locations, and the nature of their work.
RIT requires a number of majors to complete one or more co-ops/internships in order to graduate. Many of the complaints are that RIT doesn’t do enough to help the students find co-op jobs, although there are job fairs and companies (like Google) coming to campus to find both full-time applicants and interns.
My son is at RIT in the software engineering BS/MS program and really likes it there – it is a large program so there’s lots of choice for classes and instructors but class sizes are small and all taught by professors which is rare in the larger programs. I think it’s a great school for anything computer related. Good luck!

It is looking more and more likely my '25 kid will be attending RIT (engineering). On paper this is best choice due to major, curriculum, philosophy and available ECs. We are going to admitted students day, and kid (though not me) visited last year and really liked it. He enjoys hands on learning vs theory and is self-taught in a lot of CS/IT/engineering areas. not surprising, I am sure:) Is ...
Son preferred UB upon visiting and as disappointed in RIT. Also, RIT said it may take 5 years to complete major (read extra years tuition.)Son offered honors at UB, opted out. Had enough work.
UB has an amazing engineering job fair each Fall. Whether looking for summer internships or jobs for graduation, employers are there.
RIT says he bachelor of science major in electrical engineering technology provides students with a foundation in circuits, analog and digital electronics, physics, calculus, and the liberal arts.
RIT is my son’s first choice and he will be very disappointed if we asked for a release. I am really surprised that he doesn’t qualify for additional aid or grant.
Hi, I am trying to decide between RIT and Penn state university park for engineering. I visited both schools and i liked them both. I feel that at RIT the students play a lot of video games and did not seem as social as the students from Penn State. At penn state i feel that the 200-700 people lectures would make it hard to learn. Can someone please discuss these issues as well as ...
RIT has a great reputation, and she is heading into her second summer working in a design department - last year it was a co-op and this year a paid internship, where the head designer attended RIT. This is a “heads up”’ - co-op earnings do not count against financial aid, while other earnings do count against financial aid.
I applied to RIT’s PA program as a transfer student and got invited for an interview this upcoming week. For those who were accepted or went through the interview process, what was the interview like? How long was it? And what types of questions do they ask? Also the interview is in person but can they accommodate a virtual interview if needed? I’ve only had one PA school interview with ...

Long waits, missed shuttles: How RIT students struggle with unreliable transit to the city
RIT: the co-op programs, the Engineering Management and Sustainability minors seem very interesting, seems to be close to Rochester (?), possibly many job opportunities (for during undergrad) WPI: the very interactive teaching and learning style, project-based curriculum, the campus seems very nice, not too far away from Boston (?)

Brattleboro Reformer: Community Profile: Bus drivers keep kids going in the right direction

Instance methods added with an extension can also modify (or mutate) the instance itself. Structure and enumeration methods that modify self or its properties must mark the instance method as mutating, just like mutating methods from an original implementation.
Property observers can be added to stored properties you define yourself, and also to properties that a subclass inherits from its superclass. You can also use a property wrapper to reuse code in the getter and setter of multiple properties.
